OBSI Announces New CIAC Members
OBSI’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce two appointments to the Consumer and Investor Advisory Council (CIAC):
- Saira Haque has 20 years of experience in the financial and consumer sectors within North America, Africa and Europe. She has completed her Master of Education in Adult Education and Community Development at the University of Toronto, focusing on stakeholder engagement strategies and financial literacy.
- Laurie Campbell is a national spokesperson and expert on debt and credit issues. She has been a leader in the not-for-profit credit counselling industry for almost thirty years, advocating for better consumer protection and more transparency for credit-related financial products and services.
In addition, Danis Prud'homme is leaving the CIAC. The board would like to thank Danis for his contributions to the council this past year and OBSI looks forward to continuing to engage with Danis through his important ongoing work with FADOQ.
OBSI's Consumer and Investor Advisory Council (CIAC) was created in 2010 to provide the input of consumers and investors into OBSI's governance and operations, complementing the input OBSI regularly receives from industry stakeholders and regulatory and government officials.
