COVID-19 Update
In light of recent events relating to concerns about the spread of the COVID-19 virus, including extended school closures and large event cancellations across the country, OBSI will be taking a number of measures to protect the health and safety of our staff and to participate in broader social efforts to reduce the spread of the virus.
Effective Monday, March 16, and until further notice, most OBSI staff will be working remotely as we continue to meet the needs of consumers, participating firms and the public.
In recent years, OBSI has made significant investments in our business continuity planning, including cloud-based information technology and VOIP-based communications technology to build a secure and efficient foundation for organization-wide remote work. While some of our operations will be carried out differently, we are confident that we will be able to continue to provide all services effectively, including responding to inquiries from the public, opening and investigating cases, and maintaining our stakeholder outreach and communications activities.
During this period, we ask all consumers, participating firms and other stakeholders to communicate with us by telephone, electronic means or fax if at all possible, as we may not be able to respond to correspondence received by mail. All meetings and interviews will be conducted by telephone or videoconference.
We wish all of our stakeholders and suppliers well in this difficult period.
