Consumer Portal
OBSI's Consumer Portal helps make the complaint process easier for consumers and allows convenient online access to case details, all in one place.
The portal offers services such as:
- 24/7, on-demand access to key information about your case in real-time
- The ability to see the status of your case at each step
- Personal information protected by a multi-factor authorization login process and strong password requirement
- A secure method to send OBSI case information and documents electronically
Consumers who prefer to interact with OBSI electronically can submit complaints online using our complaint submission form.
- Complete the form in your chosen language and select the language (English or French) you would like to access the portal in.
- Add additional parties to your complaint.
- Upload the correspondence you have had with your firm, and explain your complaint in your own words.
- Consumers who submit a complaint online will automatically get an invitation to use the Consumer Portal.
- If you think you may not be able to complete the complaint submission form in one session, enter your email address on the first page to receive an email with a link and code to resume your complaint at your convenience within the next seven days.
Consumers are still able to access our services and submit a complaint by mail, over the phone or by fax, if they prefer. Consumers who submit a complaint through these traditional channels will also receive an invitation to use the Consumer Portal once their case record is created, if they have provided us with an email address.
